An elegant historic venue, The River Room is endowed with elegance and beautiful décor. The River Room’s spacious ballroom provides a gracious setting for every gathering from corporate meetings and small conferences to special occasion parties and your dream wedding reception.  Our spacious ballroom comfortably seats 400+ guests but it can also be arranged to handle much smaller events. We also provide amenities like a private bride’s room, hardwood dance floor, and a full sound and presentation system.

Built in 1911, the newly renovated H. L. Stout Building is positioned to be the premier gathering destination in Southeast Kansas and Southwest Missouri.  From the second floor ballroom, your guests can see the Fort Scott National Historic Site and Fort Scott’s Victorian Downtown.

Our on-site catering and bar services are provided by The Buffalo Grill's award winning Executive Chef, Logan McGear, and Restaurant Manager/Bartender, Jeh Hunter.  We provide delicious food for all type of events prepared in a certified commercial kitchen.  For more information on our chef and food, visit our website www.thebuffalogrill.com. 

All bar service must be provided by The Buffalo Grill but, if you prefer, we can also work with the caterer of your choice.
